Mr. Jitesh Parmar is an esteemed Consultant General Surgeon with a particular focus on weight loss surgery (bariatric surgery) and a wealth of experience in managing various abdominal conditions. With expertise in surgery, Mr. Parmar performs a range of procedures including sleeve gastrectomy, Roux N Y Gastric bypass, mini gastric bypass, cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal), anti-reflux surgery (fundoplication and hiatus hernia repair), and abdominal wall hernia (inguinal, umbilical, femoral, incisional hernia) repairs.

After graduating from the M S University of Baroda, Vadodara, India, Mr Parmar has completed all his post graduate surgical training in the UK. His expertise in bariatric surgery was further enhanced through prestigious post-CCT Fellowships at St George Hospital in Sydney, Australia, and Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro, UK. At St George Hospital, he was trained under renowned bariatric surgeons, Dr. Michael Talbot and Dr. Ken Loi, consolidating his experience in bariatric surgery.

He has held positions as a Locum Consultant UGI and Bariatric Surgeon at University Hospital Birmingham NHS Trust before securing a substantive position as a Consultant UGI and Bariatric Surgeon at New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton, and Walsall Manor Hospital, Walsall. He actively contributes to the Black Country Collaborative for Bariatric Surgery and serves as the Clinical Governance Lead at New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton.

In addition to his clinical work, Mr. Parmar is involved in several Quality Improvement Projects at New Cross Hospital, including advocating for Robotic UGI Services. He is also a key member of the Black Country Bariatric Collaborative and is spearheading the establishment of a Bariatric Clinic at the New Cross site in Wolverhampton.

Mr. Parmar holds research degree of MD (Doctor of Medicine) in Basic Science and Vascular Surgery and has published extensively in peer-reviewed surgical journals. He is a sought-after presenter at national and international surgical conferences, where he shares his expertise and research findings with fellow professionals.
